The pass is issued for use at the 2024 Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) only and is valid for entry from 10 to 18 August 2024.
When entering the Ekka on a media pass, individuals must be reporting on the Ekka.
If you are a freelance journalist, you must attach a letter from your editor/client to this media accreditation form confirming your status as a supplier to that media organisation.
Media accreditation is intended for editorial digital, online, print, radio, television journalists, photographers, sound and lighting technicians, broadcast staff, video journalists, producers, editors, chiefs of staff and social media influencers / bloggers covering stories at Ekka 2024. It is not intended for promotional or marketing staff from accredited media outlets.
While all accreditation requests will be considered, the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) reserves the right to deny accreditation requests that do not meet the media accreditation criteria.
The RNA reserves the right to request digital images to use for promotional purposes from specific competition photographers, such as Canine and Horse receiving media accreditation at Ekka 2024.
The RNA reserves the right to suspend or cancel media accreditation for any organisation, media outlet or individual that breaches the contracted rights of the official Ekka media partners.
Accredited media must display their access pass at all times while on site.
Vehicles with approved parking must display their access pass on the dashboard of the vehicle at all times while on site. If this is not visible, vehicles may be assumed to be illegally parked and may be removed at the owners expense.
Media personnel on site are required to follow all applicable Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations set in place by the RNA to ensure their own health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace.
By accepting a media pass, the holder agrees to the RNA Copyright, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer and the event terms and conditions. These are available for viewing on the RNA website www.ekka.com.au.
The Media Representative agrees to conduct their work in accordance with all Laws, conditions imposed by any insurers and the Association's Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
The Media Representative must comply with all requests, directions, rules, regulations, ordinances, notices, announcements or requirements made, given, published or enacted by the Association in respect of the Ekka and Brisbane Showgrounds.
The Media Representative agrees to indemnify the Association and its Personnel for any loss or damage suffered by the Association arising out of or in connection with the work, the Media Representative and the Media Representative's presence at the Showgrounds and any breach of this accreditation by the Media Representative.
