Staged at its original birthplace, the Brisbane Showgrounds, the once a year event sees 400,000 people gather to see thousands of exhibits, 10,000 animals, world-class entertainment and taste award-winning food and wine.

The 144th Royal Queensland Show was the most attended since 2019, before the covid-19 pandemic.
Leasing
Businesses can exhibit at the state's largest and most loved annual event - the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka).
The Ekka attracts more than 400,000 visitors and offers businesses a once-a-year opportunity to connect with a diverse range of customers, with most aged between 21 and 59.
The show has more than 500 leasing spaces available across twelve unique sites.
Volunteer
We are ‘udderly’ excited that our Volunteer Program that's launching in late June for applicants interested in getting involved with the 2024 Royal Queensland Show (Ekka).
The Ekka is Queensland's largest and most loved annual event, attracting on average 400,000 people.
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the show.
Membership
The RNA enjoys a rich and engaging membership of more than 3,700 people.
These include politicians, sporting greats, leaders of industry, grandparents passing the tradition onto their grandchildren, competitors and those residents who love coming to the Show each year.
They hail from living just a few kilometres from the Brisbane Showgrounds, to south east and regional Queensland, interstate and overseas.
Competitions & Displays
The Ekka showcases the best of Queensland, attracting more than 21,000 competition entries from woodchop to giant vegetables, 10,000 animals from beef cattle to cats and dogs, world-class live entertainment, and award-winning food and wine.
These competitions give the community the opportunity to have a fun, hands-on experience while learning about how agriculture plays an essential role in their everyday lives.
Education
Since 1876, millions of students have been inspired, educated and entertained each year at the Ekka and have taken part in true city meets country experiences.
That's why the Ekka, Queensland's largest classroom, is committed to providing first class educational activities and facilities.
Our 2024 program aligns with Australian Curriculum, features new classroom resources and involves exciting competitions.
