Competition Overview

The Ekka's Sheep Competition is a true celebration of Australia’s finest sheep breeds, where farmers and breeders showcase their champion livestock.

A range of sheep breeds will be on display, showcasing exceptional wool quality, conformation, and breeding excellence.

Some of the finest in genetics include Border Leicester, Poll Dorset, Dorper, Suffolk, Texel, White Dorper and White Suffolk.

Judging Commences

Ekka's sheep competition covers a number of different classes, including meat and dual-purpose breeds, open and school competitions.

The best genetics in sheep are judged across various breeds, with judges looking at several factors such as conformation, wool quality, size and weight, health condition and breed standards.
